Body Bliss is a restorative calming practice, ultimately looking to release tension from the body and create the possibility for renewed freedom, energy and movement. Using methods evolved from extensive experience in a diverse range of bodywork practices, Clare Luiten leads these monthly explorations, sharing her experience as part of her own ongoing research into physical wellbeing.

Conditioning For Running
Running is one of the most intense and effective cardiovascular activities you can participate in, with great fitness results. However, without careful cross-conditioning can leave the body tight and jarred, the hips, knees, ankles and feet – everywhere!
This practical workshop is for the most casual runner to those competing at marathon level. Whether it’s some special attention or an edge that you are after, this program is for you!
Pilates-based concepts provide great cross-training for runners. Enhance your co-ordination, improve strength, learn practical alignment-based techniques, reduce muscular strain, improve your balance and posture, and apply appropriately.

Beyond Balance Swiss Ball Training Workshop - Level One
Balance your way to symmetry and strength - a fun way to improve your balance, co-ordination, strength, mental integration and most of all decrease postural and locomotive patterns of asymmetry. Whether you are keen to take your Swiss ball training as far as it can go, you want a few exercises for your Swiss ball at home or to just learn what it's all about, this session is for you. Pilates or Swiss ball experience is necessary for this workshop If you are currently managing any intermittent or chronic structural pain conditions, please speak to one of our staff before enrolling in this workshop. Swiss Balls are available, however if you have one that perfectly suits your height, then please bring it with you. Stabilize and Support your Spine
A common condition experienced by many these days is Back Pain. It can manifest in varying ways, but essentially occurs dues to tightness and imbalance in the local area, bought on by a lack of postural support, coming up from our legs, and incorrect placement of the upper back and shoulder girdle. With time, the correct information and personal physical awareness, it is a very manageable condition. This Workshop is designed to help you:
- Understand the common denominators contributing to Lower Back Pain,
- Heighten your awareness of what your own personal postural and movement habits are, that may be contributing to the symptoms, and impeding your physical progress.
- Give you a practical toolbox of exercises to go away with designed to create support and even mobility from the feet upwards.

The deep respiratory and core muscle systems rely on the efficiency of one and other in order to function at full capacity and support the spine and central nervous system. The aim of this course is to guide you to a better understanding of how the key to the Pilates practice, is through the harmonizing of all the body systems and the direct path this takes to Wellbeing.
From this workshop you will understand how to restore correct biomechanical function to the core. Learn the tools to achieve strong toned abdominals; not only during your Pilates training sessions but during the many and varied demands of every day life.

Stretching Made Simple
'This is an awesome workshop. Equally rewarding for clients as well as Trainers wanting to really get an edge and help their clients make some changes. Even with years of experience working in Dance and Pilates training, this workshop provided me with lots of food for thought.' Clare Luiten, Director With today’s lean towards a more sedentary lifestyle, keeping active is an important part of living a healthy, happy life. But when it comes to flexibility, how do we know where to start, what to stretch, how long to do it for or what our ideal flexibility range actually is? The purpose of this special workshop is to answer these questions and to give you the tools to implement the answers. It will teach you:
- Which muscles have a greater effect on overall posture and cause repetitive pain patterns; how to assess when they are out of balance and how to self correct.
- How the brain records muscle length information and therefore which muscle lengthening techniques are best and why
- Why stretching any muscle need not last for more than 20seconds - yipee
- Why stretching for an overextended length of time or to aggressively, is not only unnecessary but ineffective and sometimes harmful..
- How our breath cycle interplays with the stretch reflexes of a muscle
- Why we need to stretch with a purpose and how your intent can have a profound effect on the end result.
We will provide you with self assessment sheets and explanations of how to perform the assessments and stretches correctly.
